Day 32 Tesla Ruby Visits the Birds

The boys and I traveled to Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park in Scotland Neck, NC today. This is a bird sanctuary and research center. We've visited many times before as I love to take pics here.

If you ever come through NC on 95, you should stop. It's not a huge detour.

"Sylvan Heights Bird Park seeks to advance conservation of waterfowl and wetlands, to act as a local educational resource for avian biology and wetlands ecology, and to serve as an international center for avicultural training and research."

"...largest collection of exotic and rare waterfowl in the world.  The facility now houses more than 3,000 birds representing 140 species, and plays a key role in maintaining the captive populations of several endangered waterfowl species." time we've driven

This is the first time I've driven Ruby out of range to get back home without supercharging. I knew that we were going right past the SC in Rocky Mount, so no problem.

It was about 110 miles over and would leave us about 40% battery left. The car showed -4% to get back home. Yep, we need to SC.

SC was no problem except that it was slower than I know it can be.  Somewhere between
86 and 110 kw. One other Tesla, a 90D Model S there. I made sure not to SC right next to them.

We managed to avoid most of the rain. It poured at the house, though!

All in all a good day! It will be near 100 later in the week. Good thing we got this trip in now!
