Day 102 Tesla Ruby Meets Mycroft

I spent a lot of time this morning doing chores. I don't know why they seem to come out of the woodwork on Sundays, but they do. At least I felt better after I did them.

Joey and I took off midafternoon in Ruby to shop and check out the new Tesla Supercharger site near North Hills in Raleigh.

We made it to Wal-Mart in Holly Springs for cat food and to look at their Halloween stuff. Next up was the Goodwill around the corner. I much prefer Guardian Angel, and we hadn't been in Goodwill in months, but I figured a quick browse couldn't hurt. We didn't find anything in there. Go figure! They had Halloween costumes but not really any home decor items which is what we were interested in. Next up was the Holly Springs Target. Boy do they have cool Halloween stuff. I'll be back for the after Halloween clearance!

Johnny was stuck at home working on homework for Social Studies. He was writing a report on Oliver Cromwell. He was supposed to double the content of his original paper, and it was like pulling teeth. He and Donnie got it sorted out thought, and then for his reward, they got to unbox Mycroft.
What is Mycroft you might ask? Well, it's an AI similar to Amazon's Alexa, only it's on Android and open source. Don ordered this Kickstarter back in 2015, and it's over a year late. And, the more refined software isn't due until 2/2018. Wow! There is a Raspberry Pie under the covers, and a cool box around it that had an LED display and looks like a robot. Mycroft even has an accent!

Don and I respect what they've done and look forward to future updates in capability.
