Day 122 Tesla Ruby Launched at the Weekend Social Plus Wilmington Train Museum and Riverwalk

Don and I received an invite to the Tesla Raleigh October Weekend Social earlier this week. We RSVP'ed yes, and made it to the 9:30AM breakfast meeting this morning. There was a really good showing with over 40 customers present. They catered in a light breakfast with some yummy French toast, fruit, and of course coffee and OJ. Don and I really enjoyed talking to and networking with all the other attendees as well as the Tesla employees. We shared some experiences with Ruby, learned a few things, and told folks about the VLOG. Don and I will definitely try to get to the next one too.

I had the opportunity to go for a launch in a Model S, but it wasn't just any Model S, it's the one that was Elon's engineering car and the one he showed on Instagram in the Boring machine elevator. Wow!

After leaving Tesla Raleigh, Don and I continued with our original weekend plan to drive down to the Wilmington Railroad Museum for a special train show. We also wanted to eat some seafood and check out the Wilmington, NC supercharger.

We ate at Pilot House Restaurant right on the Wilmington Riverwalk. I had shrimp and scallop scampi. Don had a crunch breaded catfish fillet. Yum!

The Wilmington supercharger is in Mayfaire Towne Center which is a pretty upscale strip style shopping center. Lots of places to eat there including Longhorn Steakhouse, Starbucks, Atlanta Bread, and Cold Stone Creamery. We had ice cream and were back on our way pretty quickly.
