Day 15 Tesla Ruby Drives to Joey's Graduation

Today was the day. Joey graduated from the 8th grade. School is also over for the summer. Joey looked great in his suit. I can't wait to compare today's photos with his high school graduation in 4 years not that I'm rushing the time away. Also included in the video... I dropped Johnny off at school and then headed to Home Depot to pick up a foam cannon and then to Wal-Mart. Don wants to try out the foam cannon for washing Ruby. The foam cannon we purchased ended up not fitting on our power washer and as of this typing Don has also ordered a new power washer. I'll cover that in a later video along with a demonstration. We took Tae Kwon Do tonight. I ended with plugging in Ruby and showing a picture of my cat Night Time snuggled up to me while I worked on this video.

Day 24 Ruby in the Field With Sunflowers

The City of Raleigh has planted a field of sunflowers near the Waste Water Treatment Plant and along the Neuse River Greenway Trail. The flowers serve a dual purpose for the city. First, they help prevent sludge sprayed on the field from contaminating the Neuse River. Second, the seeds are harvested and used to create biodiesel fuel. But, there's a third reason for the rest of us...the beauty and the selfies. Read more here . Don and I drove Ruby to the field today and took a ton of pictures and video. It was a sweltering 93, but we survived the heat, and I left a happy camper with a camera card full of good material. Check out video to see the best footage and pictures. Day 5 Tesla Ruby Supercharges and Autopilot on the Interstate

I really wanted to test out supercharging and to take Ruby on a road trip, so I talked my friend, Michelle, and her son, Devin, into driving with me to the supercharger in Warsaw, NC. It didn't take much effort. They were happy to check out the new car and to share in the experience. Before you ask, lots of kids here are on different school schedules, and my boys are not out of school for the summer yet, otherwise they would have been with us too. There are 4 superchargers "not far" from my house and roughly equidistant, but I picked Warsaw because I am already familiar with that exit location from all the times we've driven to/from the beach in my van. The drive down was uneventful although I did use AutoPilot a lot including making lane changes. It worked well, and there are several video clips in this video that talk about Autopilot and show it in action. My first supercharging experience was great.
