Tuesday is shopping day, and this Tuesday was no different. Johnny and I went to Guardian Angel Thrift Fuquay and Apex and to Whole Foods Cary. We tried to fight a Moltres in Pokemon Go in Holly Springs and much later in the day at Campbell University.
We also attended the Fuquay-Varina Police Department (FVPD) Open House for our local Night Out event. Johnny and I had a great time. The officers were very informative and friendly plus they served hot dogs and donuts LOL.
Things learned:
The town is moving from Fords to Dodge Chargers.
We have one Segway.
We have our own Emergency Response Team (flack jackets and shields).
We saw a stop stick "suitcase".
All officers in our town carry Narcon.
The new radar type guns can target individual cars in a pack.
The officers were concerned that NC would be the next disaster in the opiod epidemic but felt Fuquay was ahead of the curve in combating the problem.
There's a tool called ReportIt that you can use to inventory your household items/serial numbers, etc.
Johnny had a good time trying on the emergency response team as well as trying to walk with "druk" goggles on.
